We are currently teaching Lindy Hop
Our regular weekly dance classes are held in Caversham, Reading on
Tuesday evenings. Classes begin at 7.30 pm and finish with social dancing until
10.30 pm. Classes are run on a “drop-in” basis, pay as you go, so you can come
along and join in any week. The more regularly you attend, the quicker you
improve!
Beginners – Including Absolute Beginners
Beginners arrive at 8.00 pm where they learn the basic rhythms and dance figures in a fun and friendly environment and then get the chance to practice what they’ve learned with the teachers on hand to help out. Absolute Beginners, including those who have never danced a step, come along at 7.30 pm to get some extra tuition so they can then join in the Beginners Class from 8.00 pm until 9.00 pm. After that they have the chance to continue to practice while the more advanced class is taught and can then join in the social dancing until the evening closes at 10.30 pm.
Intermediates/Advanced
More experienced dancers come along at 9.00 pm for a class which involves
more complicated figures and rhythms, followed by social dancing until 10.30 pm.
