BALBOA BONANZA

.In response to popular request, we will be running a regular monthly balboa class and practise session, henceforth to be known as our BALBOA BONANZA. The first of these will be on SUNDAY 11th MAY. These will now follow our regular format of a beginners/improvers class from 11am until 1am and then a practise session (with various guest teachers) and a tea dance from 2pm until 5.00pm. Price is £7.00, for however long you stay (from 11 until 5 if you like). If you are staying over the lunch-hour, please remember to bring a packed lunch as we like to picnic by the river Thames! It’s a great help if you can let us know you’re attending – just to make sure we buy enough cakes for the tea dance!

You might like to note the other Bonanza dates too:-

Sunday 11th May
Sunday 22nd June
Sunday 24th August
Sunday 19th October
Sunday 23th November

BALBOA BALLYHOO 2008

Balboa Ballyhoo will take place over the weekend of 19th & 20th July 2008 with very special guest teachers DAVID REHM and LAURA KEAT. They are both flying specially from the States to be with us and we are absolutely thrilled that they’ve agreed to come. As we only have one set of teachers, spaces will be limited and once again followers – we are giving you notice to track down those elusive leads. The workshops will be in the Reading area, but we’re still working on venue, costs, etc. We just wanted to let you all know as soon as we’d received confirmation.

BALBOA BARMY 2008

After much diary juggling on all sides and any number of trans European/trans Atlantic e-mails, we have finally agreed a date for Balboa Barmy 2008 – hooray!. Both sets of teachers have very busy schedules so we are very lucky to welcome back Anne-Helene & Bernard Cavasa and Dan Guest & Sylvia Sykes for another fantastic weekend of Balboa on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2008.

Last year we had to put several single followers on a waiting list. We hate doing this and hate telling people we cannot offer them a place on the week-end even more - so we are giving everyone an opportunity to sort out a partner for the week-end by announcing the dates before bookings are open. Single followers – grab a man now before it’s too late. We will be opening bookings in a couple of weeks time so keep an eye on our web site & watch out for e-mails.
